A Proposal Worth
Waiting For
by Lilian Darcy
4 Stethoscopes
Surgeon Nick Devlin is anxious to spend time with his
son, Josh, at
Crocodile Creek Kids’ Camp. The divorce between Nick and Josh’s
mother, Anna, has drawn a sharp division in his relationship with Josh
and Nick sees the camp as a time for rebuilding. Nick didn’t count on
one thing, however…Miranda Carlisle. Miranda is a blast from his
past, a woman he left behind ten years ago and has never
forgotten. Can the wounds of the past be healed, both between
Miranda and Nick and Nick and Josh, at Crocodile Creek Kids’ Camp?
A PROPOSAL WORTH WAITING FOR is the first book in the final part of the
miniseries featuring Crocodile Creek. It’s easily read as a stand
alone, a fact I know well not having read the prior books. Be
warned, however, that once you start reading this series, it will not
be easy to stop! There are tiny threads intertwining throughout
the entire miniseries that one will want to know more about, such as
the story of Charles Wetherby.
Lilian Darcy offers a compassionate view of medicine. Oftentimes,
the struggles with a disease such as asthma can be overwhelming,
particularly in cases like Josh’s. The caring and concern shown
by the various medical professionals in the book is heartwarming and
refreshing to see. Even more powerful is the way Ms. Darcy
handles relationships as she shows the true complexity of them. A
PROPOSAL WORTH WAITING FOR is superb!
