Alison Roberts never overplays it --- she gradually builds up the level of suspense and the series.

THE PLAYBOY DOCTOR'S PROPOSAL has several secondary plots that add depth and humor to this medical romance. The prologue creates suspense and emotional depth whereas and the wedding in the midst of the cyclone creates humor and urgency as the reader sees the wedding and the cyclone progress almost side by side. Some threads are not tied, peaking the reader's interest in the series. THE PLAYBOY DOCTOR'S PROPOSAL is a wonderful first book to a promising series!
