Debut Presents with passion, depth and texture

Kira Montgomery's life has turned into a chaotic nightmare.  Chateau Mystique, the one place she calls home, has been plagued with scandals.  Now her home and everything for which she has worked so hard has become the ground of a bidding war for control.  Andre Gauthier now holds the key, and the majority stock ownership.  He will do anything to get her shares and take revenge for the betrayal he feels.  How can she possibly tell him he is the father of her baby when he won't even believe she has not plotted against him with his arch-rival?  Andre takes her away to the beautiful Caribbean island of Petit St. Marc.  In close proximity, Andre and Kira find that the passion still runs just as hot as it ever did.  Will the two of them ever learn to trust one another and share the secrets of the past that have fueled the battle between them?

Kira Montgomery is a determined, hard-working woman.  She has worked her way up to her position at the hotel.  When the chips are down, her resourcefulness, intelligence and steadfastness lead her.  Andre is the quintessential Alpha male, a pirate in a modern business setting, but Andre is also a man motivated by revenge.  Whether it be business or love, he knows how to take what he wants and take he does --- but Kira is just the woman to tame him and bring out the other side of him.  Whether at odds with each other or together, the passion between Kira and Andre ignites them.  Together, Kira and Andre battle one another for control but as love grows between them, they become the source to ignite each other's individual strength to move beyond the wounds of the past.  Not only does Kira unlock the key to Andre, but in her battle with Andre, Kira herself stands up like never before, growing within herself.

In her debut Presents, PIRATE TYCOON, FORBIDDEN BABY, Janette Kenny brings the insights of her western historical romances into a new setting, adding a texture and depth to the story.  Janette Kenny has an ability to see inside the past of her characters --- their hearts and vulnerabilities and their family backgrounds. Though her characters might not always have the picture perfect past, love brings them something special.   Not only does love heal the past or help her characters face the past, but they become stronger people. I truly love a romance in which I find this dynamic.  In PIRATE TYCOON, FORBIDDEN BABY, Andre is a most interesting character.  Fueled by anger and revenge in business, his anger goes much deeper. At first glance, Kira and Andre seem so different in how they handle situations but they share much in common, an inner world that allows one to understand the other in ways others probably can never imagine. Their passion for one another and his desire for revenge bring them together --- but what they find by the end is something even more special. By the end, I was convinced that Kira was the one woman to reach past his intense anger...and what's more, that his anger fueled certain plot actions that allowed both of them to heal from the past in the ways they needed. Without his anger and desire for revenge, the romance would not reach a complete passion found at the end.  A mystery within PIRATE TYCOON, FORBIDDEN BABY fascinates as it unfolds and the threads come together, making a reader eager to reach the resolution and discover exactly what lead them to events of the story's beginning.  As a fan of Janette Kenny's historical western romances, ONE REAL COWBOY and ONE REAL MAN, this reader loves hearing her unique voice brought to a different kind of romance.  More, please!
