Painter’s Green

by Cyrus Wraith Walker

Brushville, Oregon is a dying town. Business is bad and even the crops are now dying, thanks to a water shortage. Terry Painter’s contracting work for The Brushville Paint Contractors has dried up right along with the town. All of that changes when he finds a special can of paint, called PAINTER’S GREEN….

Cyrus Wraith Walker has an engaging writing style that quickly draws the reader into the story. Told from the first person perspective, PAINTER’S GREEN chronicles just how quickly a blessing can turn into a curse. Terry’s unexpected fortune doesn’t lead to happiness despite solving his immediate monetary problems. In today’s economic environment, PAINTER’S GREEN is a particularly chilling reminder that “get rich quick” schemes, even when well intentioned, often have horrible consequences.

PAINTER’S GREEN is absolutely brilliant! Cyrus Wraith Walker sucks the reader right into the story as the horror mounts. This is classic horror at its best, without a reliance on gore. Instead, the author creates a scenario anyone could encounter and uses phenomenal characterization and atmosphere to showcase this gripping tale. Bravo!
