Emergency: Romance in the midst of a natural disaster!
Publisher: Harlequin
Medical Romance
Series: Crocodile
Creek 24-Hour Rescue
Grace O'Riodan has had a crush on policy officer Harry Blake. Grace
values their friendship and tries to keep their relationship on the
friend level, especially since Harry is newly widowed. As the cyclone
approaches Crocodile Creek, Grace and Harry must put their personal
lives on hold. As the disaster damage mounts, Harry and Grace must rely
on each other emotionally. Have they found each other too late?
The Nurse He's Been
Waiting For, the second book in the Crocodile Creek 24-Hour
Rescue mini-series, builds upon the foundation begun by Alison Roberts
in The Playboy Doctor's Proposal as
the cyclone approaches, causing more damage and injuries. Meredith
Webber did an excellent job describing all the pieces that fit into
disaster preparation from pets to shelter preparation, rescue and
disaster emergency medicine. As the cyclone nears, she expands and
shifts her focus in the secondary story of the lost children. The
disastrous wedding adds both a serious and humorous dimension. The
suspenseful tone dimension of the romance and dramatic medical
situations make this a quick page-flying read. This book does not
sugarcoat disasters. Nevertheless, Meredith Webber creates intense
emotionally moving and tender moments to please romance readers.
Although one or two finer radio details were not completely fleshed
out, most radio operators reading this book will adore it on account of
Meredith Webber's description of radio in disasters and emergency
preparations. The Nurse He's Been
Waiting For includes some dark moments in terms of the disaster
and Harry's first wife made some choices that might startle some
readers. The Nurse He's Been Waiting
For is an exquisite medical romance that will appeal to a wide
variety of readers, including non-medical ones. The breadth of emotion
and fine details are superb!
