The Italian
Surgeon's Christmas Miracle
by Alison Roberts
4.5 Stethoscopes
Amy Phillips is struggling to hold things together for
Christmas but
chaos is threatening at every turn. Her sister and mother had to
leave London unexpectedly due to an ailing family member, leaving Amy
to care for six children on her own. Worse, the new owner of the
home they’re living in wants them evicted! Imagine Amy’s surprise when
she realizes this Scrooge of an owner is surgeon Luke Harrington, the
very same doctor who left her in tears recently. Can Amy show
Luke the magic of Christmas?
Alison Roberts weaves a beautiful story of love and medicine in THE
ITALIAN SURGEON’S CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. Luke is a top notch surgeon
but inside he’s emotionally scarred by his father’s desertion of him
when he was a baby. Amy saw a different side of Luke’s father,
however, and the story that unveils is one that is enchanting and
perfect for the Christmas season.
Perseverance is a theme throughout THE ITALIAN SURGEON’S CHRISTMAS
MIRACLE. Both Luke and Amy show endurance in difficult
circumstances. Luke has lived a life unwanted by his father and
has now reached the very pinnacle of success in his profession.
Amy is in the midst of her own crisis as the story begins, faced with
trying to keep six children happy through the Christmas season while
staring at the very real possibility of homelessness. In
addition, one of the children in her care is awaiting a heart
transplant and her health is very fragile. Only two characters as
determined as Luke and Amy could handle such challenges and seeing them
get their happily-ever-after shows a ray of hope through all the
heartbreak.
