Blood Oath
by Christopher
Farnsworth
The
President of the United States has a secret weapon....
Zach Barrows was on the fast track in his political career until his
reassignment. Surely vampires don't actually exist! He quickly learns
that Nathaniel Cade really IS a vampire and he's under a BLOOD OATH to
serve the president. Vampires aren't the only supernatural creatures in
the world, as Zach is about to find out. Will Zach survive the fallout
when Cade battles a monstrous villain and his creations? What
diabolical plan is at work?
BLOOD OATH is a fast paced, fun tale mixing vampires and politics.
However, it is the character of Zach Barrows who truly makes this story
work. Zach matures as the story progresses, going from your
stereotypical politician to a man determined to work for his country
regardless of fame or fortune. It's a fun journey, as the action
doesn't relent in the process of Zach's character growth. In fact, it
was hard to put BLOOD OATH down once I started it!
Christopher Farnsworth writes a book that is just quirky enough to
stand out from the other political thrillers and vampire books out
there. The idea of a secret weapon being a vampire is intriguing but
even more so once Farnsworth throws in zombie-like monsters. I can only
hope this is just the beginning of a series as I certainly hope to see
more of Cade and Zach in future stories! Highly recommended!
