Assignment: Baby
by Lynne Marshall
5 Stethoscopes
Amanda
Dunlap has risked everything for her education and career. She
has high hopes for the success of her Mending Hearts Club as she aims
to provide preventative care and education to the participants.
Unfortunately, her assigned mentor had to drop out the night before the
program started and now her new mentor is none other than her
ex-husband, Dr. Hunter Phillips. Worse yet, Hunter arrives with a
baby in tow! Will Amanda and Hunter get a second chance at love?
Lynne Marshall beautifully captures the essence of love and marriage in
ASSIGNMENT: BABY. Marriage isn’t always easy as there are
numerous challenges a couple may face. Amanda and Hunter
struggled with keeping their marriage alive the first time even as they
both loved one another. Time and experiences have added maturity
to them both as they attempt to make things work this time around.
I have to admit that it is both encouraging and uplifting to read a
story in which maturity is a key component of the main characters.
Amanda and Hunter are multidimensional characters, ones who deal with
the same struggles that everyday individuals deal with. Lynne
Marshall depicts her characters well as it’s practically impossible not
to relate to or at least understand Amanda and Hunter. And who couldn’t
help but fall in love with Sophie just a tiny bit? Bravo, Ms. Marshall!
